Marking 250 years since Maj. Gen. Horatio Gates ordered the construction of the Mount Independence-Hubbardton Military Road on Sept. 7, 1776. Start with a special orientation, reading of the order and viewing of the start of the road, then travel by car to stops along the way, finishing at Hubbardton Battlefield. Led by historian Jim Rowe of the Crown Point Road Association.
